About Us
Akaflieg SLO is a student organization with the goal of getting youth interested in general aviation, aerospace engineering and other STEM fields. Based out of California Polytechnic State University and operating gliders in Avenal, California, the Akaflieg is dedicated to youth outreach for science and technology, student fight training in gliders, cooperation with other aviation clubs and networking within the aviation community.
